Body Knowledge was founded with a big goal in mind, eliminate weight as a metric used in health assessment. Weight is misleading and tells us nothing about the health of an individual. That's where we come in. We've been delivering on this mission for 4+ years by bringing a medical grade body composition device to Twin Cities employers and fitness centers alike. We provide the analysis and education thereafter to help people understand their bodies in a more complete way. Water, muscle, metabolic rate, fat and where it's found are all much more important to our health than our weight. Our service not only educates, but produces change as well. We've measured over 15,000 lbs of fat loss since our inception and over 5,000 lbs of muscle gain. Once people understand what it is they're trying to change (muscle/fat), they're much more apt to do so. Beyond the service, our data and analytics can track change in the population, show how your population ranks against local and national averages, high risk areas to better deploy resources and programming and even give individual winners for challenges. It's time to move beyond weight as a measure of health and measure what matters.
