Prior to 1983, the Club was known as the Barrie "Y" Neptunes and had a membership of approximately 25. In 1983, the Club changed it's name to the Barrie Trojan Swim Club and moved their training centre from the YM/YWCA to the Allandale Recreation Centre. The BTSC has been providing a competitive swimming opportunity to the community since then with truly outstanding results. The Trojans have produced several International, National and Provincial level swimmers. Today we have over 220 competitive swimmers competing for Barrie and over 300 young athletes swimming in our pre-competitive levels; Swim Skills and House League program. Our swimmers and coaches are committees to continue the tradition of swimming excellence. We now swim out of 5 pools in the Barrie area.
