The International Academy of Smyrna is K-8 Public Charter School. We opened in August 2007 with 500 students and have grown to 960 students. The intent of the founders was to form a "neighborhood school" in which the children go to school with their neighbors and form lasting bonds to their community. Additionally the founders envisioned IAS setting high standards of academic achievement, strengthening our community and developing lasting global partnerships in education.
