For the last 23 years, almost 17,000 colleagues define the Carrefour World through everything they do, day by day. We are proud to be the first retail company to bring the concept of “hypermarket” to Romania. We currently have approximately 450 stores in the country: hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores, discount stores. To these are added smart shopping applications (Carrefour application) and in-store innovations. All these things create an optimal framework for the multitude of jobs, from confectioner, baker, butcher, basic vegetable-fruit worker, to specialists, professionals, and experts, both in the area of the commercial departments of the magazine and at the headquarters. We support and promote the principles of diversity and inclusion, equality and non-discrimination among colleagues and outside the organization. We continue the steps that the company has been taking since 2014 when we received the GEEIS certification - one of the most important European certifications that attests the observance of gender equality in the company. The most recent confirmation of all standards was in 2023 when we received the GEEIS recertification. We have also been certified Top Employer for two consecutive years, a recognition that is a confirmation of our commitment to the development and well-being of our colleagues.
