The purpose of Central Arkansas Rescue Transport Co., also known as CART, is to facilitate transport of homeless and/or rescued cats to northern states, reducing overpopulation in Arkansas. To accomplish this purpose, CART: • partners with local rescues and shelters to ensure at-risk cats are properly prepared for transportation and adoption, and • expedites movement of these animals to rescues and shelters in states where demand for adoptable cats is greater than provided by local supply.
