Shooting Gallery was co-founded by Elliott Bledsoe and Tom Everingham in 2011. The idea was simple: to do the gallery thing differently. It is a visual arts venue in the back room of a small converted factory in Spring Hill in Brisbane. It exhibits works regardless of an artist's status or their preference of medium, style or technique. It hosts anything arts-related, not just exhibitions. It investigates new approaches to displaying and exhibiting creativity. And it wants to test new models of risk management and financial sustainability for creative practitioners.
