Water for Waslala is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicating to ending the drinking water crisis for the 60,000 residents of Waslala, a poor municipality in central Nicaragua that was devastated by the wars of the 1980s. Water for Waslala designs cost-effective, sustainable water solutions that improve family health, increase educational attainment, and catalyze economic development. Since its inception in 2004, Water for Waslala has helped over 2,500 Waslalans gain access to clean drinking water, and aims to achieve its mission for the remaining Waslala population by 2030.
