Building in Toledo has been a mission of Lathrop since 1895 when we were a local contractor specializing in the building of fine homes and small civil and industrial projects. Since then, Lathrop has continued to build Toledo's skyline and become Northwest Ohio's most established and trusted general builder and construction management firm. We have earned recognition by undertaking complex projects of all sizes from $5,000 to $400 million, fostering innovation, embracing emerging technologies, and making a difference for our clients, employees and community with the support of our local business staff of over 150 personnel.In 1986, Lathrop was acquired by nationally recognized and New York based Turner Construction Company as a wholly owned subsidiary. Turner, America's Leading General Builder, maintains a close network of 46 offices in the U.S. with a staff of 9,750+ employees who work on more than 1,500 projects per year. The strength of the Turner organization has allowed Lathrop to grow in capabilities of serving its current customers locally and across the country, in collaboration with the local Turner business units. Additionally, Turner operates national market segment groups, which focus on particular building types, to complement the firm's geographical network of offices. This structure provides clients with the in-depth knowledge and experience needed in specialized facility types coupled with the strength and understanding from a strong local market presence.
