Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT), established in 1983 in Navi Mumbai, was the brainchild of Dr. D. Y. Patil. The institute is one of the oldest and finest colleges of Navi Mumbai, located in the lush green campus of D. Y. Patil University. RAIT provides state of the art amenities, which combined with experienced teachers and amicable environment, ensures all-round development of the students. The Institute organizes various student-centric activities which cater to the complete blossoming of the students' personality. RAIT is scaling new heights of success since its inception. Testimony to this fact is the achievements and accolades, mentioned for the year 2019. RAIT was awarded ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the three core engineering courses, Computer, Electronics and Electronics and Telecommunication are reaccredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) New Delhi for 03 years. RAIT secured 172nd rank by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), an initiative by Ministry of HRD ranking 2019. RAIT has been awarded 11th rank amongst top engineering institutes, 3rd rank amongst top private institutes across the country, 9th in placement and 7th in research by Times Group in the year 2019. The Institution received 'Overall Championship' award in Avishkar (a state-level inter-university research competition). RAIT won first prize in Smart India Hackathon (Hardware Category) in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Best ‘ISTE Chapter award' in 2019, 'e-Yantra prize’ in 2018, ‘Times Icon Award, in 2019 and ‘Zonal Championship' in Youth Festival 2019 organized by University of Mumbai are some of the achievements that are added to the multi feathered cap of RAIT.
