Association for Leprosy Education, Rehabilitation and Treatment (ALERT-India) has 40+ years of leprosy work experience in rural, tribal, and slums of Maharashtra. Since 2003, reached out to 15+ million people and directly impacted 4, 00,000+ lives of people affected by leprosy.Specialization in community-based disease prevention, control, policy advocacy, and health-care for communities affected by Neglected Tropical Diseases(NTDs) / infectious diseases, especially: Leprosy, TB, and HIV/AIDS.ALERT's team consists of 500+ qualified, experienced medical and program personnel reaching out to under-served and building lives. We produce, supply leprosy aids & appliances to 12 states.ALERT is a Partner NGO with the Government of India; Maharashtra and Jharkhand. An ‘Assured Partner' of Give India and has Validation by GuideStar India.Six National workshops in collaboration with the government, WHO and other stakeholders: leprosy control; best practices; integration; quality care; inclusion and urban leprosy.
