Wiawaka is a non profit retreat founded in 1903 by women for all working women. Wiawaka offers the opportunity to renew mind, body and spirit in a serene and simple historic lakefront setting. Workshops available to all guests throughout our summer season focus on personal health and fitness, life skills, and self-expression. Wiawaka actively collaborates with other organizations to offer special programs for groups of women with similar life experiences. Financial assistance is available to any woman who qualifies.Wiawaka occupies 60 acres of lakefront property on Lake George, NY. Grounds offer beautiful gardens, spectacular views, hiking trails, a labrynth, and striking examples of Second Empire Victorian architecture. Wiawaka's secondary mission is the preservation of its National Register listed property.
