ElleHacks is the first-ever student-run women-only* hackathon aiming to create a safe and inclusive space for the underrepresented in STEM fields. We welcome all experience levels from a variety of technical and creative disciplines to participate in a collaborative, technical project. You can register at www.ellehacks.com!A women-only* hackathon has been an expanding initiative across the world, which is why we created this event. This event will provide a space for girls to explore technology, feel empowered and give them exposure to companies that focus on technological advances. Furthermore, ElleHacks will provide a great learning experience for women through project development and also connect them with potential employers. ElleHacks acknowledges the complicated nature of the word "women," knowing it may not work for many and can feel unwelcoming or alienating for some. We recognize the imperfection of language, and we use * to specifically and intentionally include cis women, trans, non-binary, agender, intersex, and queer people.
