We believe that service creates better leaders, and that better leaders create a better world.Leadership is not something esoteric and elusive that only a select few can achieve. Instead, every individual can be a leader by defending their values. With tens of millions of our neighbors suffering and in despair, with a resource-starved nonprofit sector, and with several crises that question the future of humanity, the need for service and leadership has never been greater nor more urgent. That is why we are calling on national, state, and local legislatures to make community service and leadership development part of K-12 school curriculums across the United States. With the help of experts in academia and leadership development, i-Serve is crafting a curriculum that shapes students into people of character, and empowers them to think about how to solve the world's most daunting problems.i-Serve facilitates partnerships between schools, nonprofits, and policy makers to provide meaningful weekly direct-service opportunities for students. We believe that through i-Serve's model, more resources will go towards supporting our communities and nonprofit sector, the next generation can be one more civically engaged than every before, and America can be united by the common ethic of service.
