The Modern Tot is a full-time, year-round preschool in East Dallas that works to cultivate the inner wonder in each child. We teach ages 18 months-4 years using the High Scope Preschool curriculum. We believe the most important thing we can teach a child is to be a lifelong, active learner. From this perspective, the motivation to learn arises from within the child rather than from an external source. Their personal interests, questions and intentions lead to exploration, experimentation, and the construction of new knowledge and understanding.Our space includes a school garden, outside free play area, art room, and classrooms designed for each age group. We chose an aesthetic that motivates creativity and wonder, and we're proud to have created an environment where each child is valued for who they are.
