At St Dominic's Priory School our aim is to educate the whole person; to find the strengths of each boy and girl and enable them to succeed.In the last few years, our student numbers have increased due to the demand for high-level education in the area. To meet the requirements further, our current school site is being developed with a project investment of £4.5 million to accommodate a new modern three-storey teaching block on the front of the canal. This will enrich and enhance the education and experiences of our current students, but also those who attend the school for many years to come. From September 2019 we will be able to accommodate double the entry intake within our Senior School.High-quality teaching and small classes create a nurturing environment in which the true potential of all students can be maximised. Our students are encouraged to have a sense of purpose, which enables them to be confident, independent and ready to face life's adventures. They combine a sense of fun with a determination to achieve, grow and learn.Our Pre-school is open during term time and accommodates children from 3 years. It is staffed by a qualified and experienced early years' teacher and a full-time and part-time early years' practitioner. Parents are able to use the 15-hour nursery education funding (NEF) as part payment towards the fees and new children are welcome to join us throughout the academic year.Our latest ISI report states that our pastoral care is excellent and that we ensure that each pupil is known and receives outstanding care. It also says that our pupils are self-confident, self-aware and respect themselves and others. Our family environment is closely linked to our outstanding academic results.
