Founded in 1993, Chiara Home provides temporary out-of-home care for people of all ages with special needs. This respite care provides their family/caregiver time to go to work, attend a meeting, to enjoy a special event. While the family/caregiver takes a well-earned break – to refresh and recharge – they know their loved one is cared for safely and with respect.Chiara Homes welcomes guests with all developmental disabilities, mental disorders and/or other special needs. In this way, we seek to provide families supportive assistance so that institutionalizing their disabled loved one can be prevented. It is our goal to prevent abuse and neglect of disabled individuals and help families remain together as functioning units within our community. We welcome guests regardless of their ability to pay our minimal service fees. We will never turn a family seeking respite care away!
