Central association of permanent defence personnelThe Danish Central Association of Permanent Defence Personnel – colloquially referred to as CS – is the largest defence personnel organisation with about 7,500 members.CS holds the collective bargaining rights for permanent personnel employed under the Danish Ministry of Defence, including the army, the air force, the navy and the rescue services. The object of the organisation is to safeguard the professional interests of its members and ensure that the financial, social, employment, training and health and safety conditions of each member comply with the collective agreement concluded with the employer.In addition, CS must contribute to and ensure that, within the defence, the conditions of permanent personnel undergo a positive development and that the spirit of community is strengthened among CS members.The work of CS is based on the following core values:• High level of specialist knowledge and skill to match the demands and level of the surrounding society • Visibility in everyday media to promote the interests of CS members• Solidarity and unity as well as reciprocity in union-related obligations • Accountability relative to what members, cooperation partners and employees expect from a professional unionCS is a member of the Central Organisation of 2010 (CO10), which is a negotiating association and umbrella organisation for a large number of professional unions with roughly 40,000 members in total – all employed in or retired from positions under the Danish state. www.coii.dkCS is a member of the Salaried Employees' and Civil Servants' Confederation (in Danish abbreviated FTF).
