Tampa Bay Air Conditioning, Inc. is a family owned business serving the Lutz/Land O'Lakes area for over 37 years. Tom Kent, our President, grew up in the Tampa Bay Area and began working in the HVAC industry straight out of high school. Tom started his business in 1979 and as business grew, so did the company.In 1985, Tom signed up with Trane as a dealer. He was impressed by the quality of the system. In 1994, Tom was asked to become a Trane Comfort Specialist and has maintained both titles. Tampa Bay Air Conditioning, Inc., stays up to date with all Trane equipment, participates in all Trane rebates and our employees attend Trane classes. Tampa Bay Air Conditioning is also a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB.COM) and has maintained a perfect record for the last 37 years.Ron Smith Sr., a family member, began working with Tom back in the 1980's. Ron's son, Ronnie Smith started working during his summers in high school alongside his father. In 1993, Ronnie joined the team full time and since then, has worked his way up to Service Manager. Ronnie has his Florida State Mechanical C license and today is a partner of Renee Kent Show and Tom Kent.Renee Kent Show is Tom's daughter. She also worked in the office throughout her summers in high school and started full time in 1998. Renee began running parts for the guys and helping out at installation jobs then moved on to managing the office and handling administrative tasks. You will speak with her when you call in for service, estimates or questions.Having a family owned business is very special to us. We have a lot of repeat customers and a large referral base which allows us to save on advertising dollars and pass those savings on to you.
