Bodø Graduate School of Business was founded in 1985. Since then more than 3.000 students have graduated from its four-year business programme - "Siviløkonom". The Business School admits about 500 students each year to its programmes in business administration. A total of 1.300 students are currently enrolled at the business school. University of Nordland (UiN) was appointed Norway's eighth university on 1st January 2011. UiN is a place for learning, experience and research for approximately 640 staff and 6200 students. With learning facilities spread across The High North, UiN is an important institution for teaching and research in the region. In Bodø, UiN has centralised all its activity in Mørkved, situated approximately 10 kilometres east of Bodø's city centre. The campus was established in 1985, and has since then expanded several times as UiN has grown. The last construction work was completed in 2005, and includes a new and modern library.
