The Holiday Heroes Foundation brings the spirit of the holidays to those that need it the most: children in critical and long-term care at pediatric units and hospitals. With the generous support of the public and our corporate sponsors, our "holiday heroes", we deliver smiles and provide a moment of normalcy to patients and families that are not able to enjoy the holidays due to serious illness and hospitalization. When you become a holiday hero, you, too, can impact the lives of these deserving children and their families. We host holiday and seasonal-themed parties at various hospitals throughout the greater Chicagoland area. We provide festive decorations, upbeat music, crafts, games, prizes, story telling and other entertainment, party food (as allowed by the hospitals) and gift cards for the patients to popular retailers. We give the children and their families an "everyday life" experience where the kids can just be kids and the families can have fun.
