MACS is the UK's national charity for children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes. We support families of children born with Microphthalmia (small eyes), Anophthalmia (no eyes) and/or Coloboma (cleft of the eye). Our services are accessed by around 500 families around the UK and some who are further afield. We offer help and support to parents, young people, and health professionals by offering resources such as a freephone helpline, financial assistance, respite holidays and practical advice around health and benefits. One of the most important things we do at MACS is to give our members access to a network of other families who have a first hand experience of what they are going through. Through our regional support groups, families can offer each other peer support and participate in group activities which bring a sense of normality into their lives. This company page will be updated regularly with events, fundraising opportunities and volunteering requests that may be required. Please keep up to date with us!
