KD FOODS supplies unique sweets and confectionery to the South African and African markets. We develop exciting brands for the South African consumer such as our iconic "Sweets From Heaven" and our iconic "Aussie style Liquorice. Started in 2016 by Danny Koppel and Sean Suckerman, KD Foods is quickly becoming the fastest growing independent producer of snack foods and candies in South Africa. Having been in the snack industry previously, Sean saw a gap in the market for mints and other candies. Danny, having contacts through his experience with Rocka, introduced Sean to SMD Technologies. Knocker Doodle, their first product to market, was an instant hit, which subsequently resulted in KD Foods partnering with the Sweets From Heaven Group. After re-invigorating the Sweets From Heaven Brand, re-introducing Rivo Mints to the South African Market, and building relationships with their retailers; there was no slowing down for KD Foods. Enter Good Heart. The latest brand in the KD family, Good Heart aims to be the healthy snack of choice for those who wish to watch what they eat, and who wish to give back. Partnering with FeedSA, KD Foods donates a portion of all sales to feeding those in need. KD Foods takes great pride and pleasure in sourcing only the best quality snack foods and candies. Factories are visited personally, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and that the manufacturing floors are clean and sanitary, having a "If I wouldn't eat it, no one else should" approach to vetting. No corners are cut and you can rely on the Halal and Kosher marks on every bag where they appear. We currently supply Dis-chem, Makro, C.N.A, PEP, Clicks, Sweets from heaven, Spar and Pick 'n Pay and a large portion of the independent "moms 'n pops" stores nationwide.
