About LSS of Northern CaliforniaIncorporated in 1968, LSS is a private non-profit organization. LSS touches over 3,000 lives every day providing non-sectarian services to the homeless, the disabled, low-income families, people with HIV/AIDS, the elderly, former foster youth and other at-risk populations. LSS's service area is Northern California and it maintains offices and programs in Sacramento, Stockton, San Francisco and Concord.The purpose of LSS's programs are to provide transitional and supportive housing, money management and other supportive services to help individuals and families stabilize their lives, acquire skills and reach self-sufficiency. Many are suffering from mental or physical disabilities, chronic illnesses and substance abuse issues.
