The Orlando Women's Conference, scheduled for Friday, April 8 at Rosen Shingle Creek, is a one-day program built around the concept of growing and nurturing women leaders. Orange Appeal magazine has been an ardent supporter of women since launching in 2008 and as a direct outreach, a women's conference seemed natural. 2016 marks the sixth year of this successful gathering. \\Last year's attendees included 400 professionals, community leaders and business owners. We expect the numbers to keep growing in 2016. The conference features dozens of speakers in a variety of sessions. This year we will be encouraging women to take the day for themselves, and expand their horizons with personal and professional development sessions.\\Morning breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics from Thriving in Life's Stages and Phases with a focus on succeeding in every decade, to Tech Boot Camp where attendees can get info on what's now and next, to Worth & Value conversations on respect, negotiating and hairing and retaining top talent.\\The luncheon will feature two high-profile women - Orlando Health keynote speaker Bernadette Spong, senior vice president, chief financial officer, and Conference keynote speaker Susan Packard, author of New Rules of the Game and HGTV co-founder. The Mall at Millenia wil present Suit Up! Dressing for the Game during dessert and coffee. \\In the afternoon's Let's Get Real!: A power panel of leading women will discuss challenges, opportunities, strategies and best practices for success. The day ends with a reception in the exhibit hall where new relationships are formed and old ones are renewed.\\An exhibit Marketplace offers attendees an opportunity to see what's new in everything from beauty and healthcare to education and self-improvement. But there will be a dose of fun too, with clothing and jewelry vendors.\\The Orlando Women's Conference provides a forum for important women's and community issues.
