The Australian Asia Pacific Council (AAPC) of Maternal & Child Health and Family Nursing (MCHN & MCFN) is the regional and international professional body for nurses, families and educators working in the field of maternal, child and family health and nursing. AAPC covers nursing, child & family needs, well-being, advocacy & representation, rights, support, job opportunity, networking & education throughout Australian & Asia Pacific.Originally founded as the "Bubby" project, the project was originally for Kori, Torres Straits and Papua New Guinea mothers and children, but later due to demand, the project expanded to cover Asia-Pacific maternal, child and family health and nursing. In 2003 Bubby was re-branded from a passive to a more pro-active structure to cover changes in nursing, employment, education, representation, changing demographics and needs.
