The District is approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Chicago, and the majority of our communities are easily accessible from major interstates and commuter rail lines. School District U-46 serves nearly 35,000 students in grades preK-12 The District ranks as the second largest in Illinois with 38 elementary schools, 8 middle schools and 5 high schools.
