ArtWorks NYC is a non-profit educational organization that provides NYC public school children with a guided introduction to the visual arts. Students learn to discuss, compare and interpret works of art through a series of classroom workshops that culminate in a visit to The Met or Brooklyn Museum. Our inquiry-based approach encourages children to develop their own voice in responding to art, thereby strengthening critical thinking skills.Through the dedicated work of our volunteers, ArtWorks reached 20 schools and over 3000 students in NYC this year.
