William Blake House is a spiritually oriented community consisting of three small registered care homes serving the developmental needs of residents with learning disabilities.It sees the community model as best supporting the potential for development of those who need its particular specialist care, whilst also affirming it to be the best model to facilitate the personal and professional development of all people involved in the work of the community. It draws its philosophical ethos from the anthroposophical image of the human being, as developed by Rudolf Steiner and implemented by Karl Konig in establishing communities for those with learning disabilities. This approach validates the spiritual integrity of all human beings, regardless of disability, and upholds the potential for continual development of all who live and work in the mutually supporting community that William Blake House aims to be.The residents at William Blake House are young adults with learning disabilities. We offer accommodation where the residents can live, learn and work with others in healthy social relationships based on mutual care and respect. We are inspired by the ideals of Rudolf Steiner, based on the acceptance of the spiritual uniqueness of each human being, regardless of disability or religious or racial background.William Blake House provide excellent accommodation and facilities. Comfortable and modern, our homes are maintained to the highest standards and this ensures that our residents feel settled and relaxed in no time at all. All residents have their own private room and share general facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens. The homes are spacious with attractive gardens. Located in pleasant villages in the Northamptonshire countryside, we are close to the historic town of Towcester.
