Trinh Foundation Australia (TFA) works to assist the Vietnamese people to establish Speech Therapy as a profession in their country. We collaborate with our Vietnamese partners to create university-based training programs. We work to enable the Vietnamese people to acquire speech therapy capacity themselves, to be able to assist those in their population with communication and swallowing disorders. Until 2010, when TFA collaborated with the University of Pham Ngoc Thach in Ho Chi Minh City, there were no Vietnamese speech therapists nor formal training courses in Speech Therapy in Vietnam.The work of TFA depends critically on all of our volunteers. Our volunteers come from all over Australia, and their passion, patience and enthusiasm are inspiring. They are committed to making a difference.Over 60 Australian volunteer speech therapists have now visited Viet Nam to support TFA's work there: teaching students, mentoring speech therapy graduates, coordinating projects and courses, and liaising closely with our Vietnamese partner organisations.Trinh Foundation Australia (TFA) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation, established in Australia.
