NanoString Technologies, a Bruker Company, is a provider of life science tools for translational research. The company's technology enables a wide variety of basic research and translational medicine applications. NanoString's products are based on a novel digital molecular barcoding technology invented at the Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) in Seattle under direction of Dr. Leroy Hood. In 2022, AtoMx™ Spatial Informatics Platform (SIP), the only cloud-based, fully-integrated informatics platform for spatial biology, was also launched. In 2024, NanoString Technologies has been acquired by Bruker Corporation, a leading global provider of scientific instruments and solutions.
