United Way of East Central Iowa is a nonprofit organization and the second largest United Way in Iowa. Established in 1914, UWECI originally served four area nonprofits; that number has grown to more than 30 today. Together, UWECI and its partners serve Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Jones, and Linn counties to help meet the communities' most critical needs in education, financial stability, and health. Thank you for your support this year. Your investment supports our communities' programs that help children get ready for kindergarten to helping seniors remain independent longer. In 2014, we raised $11,022,534 — making this the largest fundraising year in our 100-year history! This is the 8th consecutive year we have raised more than $10 million in the community.
