Bradford Grant, LLC and National De-escalation Training Centers, it's non-profit corporation serving law enforcement, utilize DISC Esoterica™ providing the most advanced and effective de-escalation training to date.DISC Esoterica was developed in 2015 under a university-based program funded by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Esoterica is the most significant advancement in the DISC personality model since its inception in 1928. Traditional de-escalation practices are good, but treat all subjects as though they possess the same motivations, needs, and behavioral patterns. Esoterica elevates the effectiveness of traditional de-escalation by identifying a subject's personality rapidly and then utilizing it to individualize the application of de-escalation methods. Esoterica innovations are integrated within our Leadership, Insider Threat, and De-escalation courses. We direct De-escalation and Insider Threat training using Esoterica applications at our National De-escalation Training Center headquarters located in the Wayne State University Police Department in Detroit. We use evidence-based, best practices that exceed emotional intelligence, verbal judo, and other methods. The NDTC conducts ongoing research with nationally and regionally accredited universities, non-profit institutions, and law enforcement agencies to collaborate, innovate, and develop evidence-based national training standards in de-escalation.
