Wise Counsel encompasses both a nonprofit think-tank and a consultancy devoted to helping enterprising families and their advisors find trusted, strategic advice.Research is the foundation of our work. Through our 501(c)3 public charity, Wise Counsel Research, we study giving within families, the best practices of successful family businesses, the impact of wealth on women, and the role of advisors to enterprising families. We also regularly write, speak, and offer workshops on these and related topics.We apply this learning in our consultancy, Wise Counsel Research Associates, through which we help families with wealth, businesses, and philanthropies communicate about their planning, make decisions together, and develop the rising generation.
