Forest City Counselling Services [a Division of Ross Social Work Professional Corporation], provides a safe place for our clients to talk about their mental health challenges and wellness journey. Each member of our team is clinically qualified with a Master's of Social Work. We believe in continuous learning and are dedicated to providing a safe space for our clients to share and grow. While our main office is located in London Ontario, we also have clinicians in both Windsor and Sarnia, as well as surrounding areas. During the COVID-19 pandemic we have transitioned to offer virtual counselling and, as a result, we can now offer supports to clients across the province. Our areas of expertise include, paediatric therapy, individual therapy, and couples or family counselling. Some of our specialties include, support after motor vehicle accidents (MVA), anxiety and depression, grief and trauma, domestic violence, and many more. Our clinicians are trained in various theoretical approaches including, but not limited to, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Re-Processing (EMDR). Following a motor vehicle accident, a social work assessment may be required to determine the type and duration of counselling/psychotherapy that is required. Our clinicians are trained professionals and can support clients in this process. A referral is made by a legal representative, health care practitioner or insurance adjuster.
