Cogswell Hall is a permanent solution to homelessness that offers quality, low-income housing with social services, builds community and advocates for disabled and economically disadvantaged individuals. Our family-like home offers a private room, gracious common areas, and staff support to assist with the isolation and marginalization caused by mental illness, substance abuse, physical or developmental disabilities, HIV/AIDS, unemployment or underemployment. Our model, which combines low cost housing with individualized services plans and community building, effectively stabilizes people in housing, preventing and intervening in homelessness and improving health and wellness. Cogswell Hall distinguishes itself from other permanent supportive housing projects by serving many individuals who are at risk of becoming homeless in addition to reserving space for those who are homeless.
