McDoux Preservation works with individuals and organizations who own, manage, and advocate for historic buildings and landscapes, helping them build knowledge, organizational capacity, and financial strength. We believe that:• Historic sites are more likely to be preserved when the people responsible for them are knowledgeable and organizationally effective.• Increasing the public's awareness of and appreciation for historic resources is best accomplished through research, engaging interpretation, and opportunities to interact with the resource and its history.• Every organization and individual needs a defining goal that reflects their core values and provides direction; and any plan for achieving that goal must include steps toward financial security. Our portfolio of services includes architectural history research and documentation; capacity-building consulting in the areas of strategic planning, business planning, instructional design, fundraising and grant writing; Section 106 facilitation; and project management.
