The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is the leading global youth development organisation bringing life skills to millions of youth around the world. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award was founded in the United Kingdom in 1956 by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Today, The Award is running in 130 countries globally and 8 million young people have achieved and benefited from The Award. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is available in Australia through over 1,200 schools, youth groups, clubs and community organisations throughout Australia.
