My mission is to help those who desire to live healthy, happy lives through supportive, client focused therapy. By providing a direct and supportive environment and developing tools together, each client is empowered to heal and create positive and lasting change, ultimately creating happy healthy thinking, and leading to happy healthy relationships, and overall well-being. Therapy is a very personal decision, and finding a therapist that you feel safe, secure and that you can trust is absolute key to your progress. I have experience in residential, acute care, emergency care, and trauma. Through all of my experiences, I have worked with clients and their families through crisis, whether it was in the emergency room, the TICU or the psychiatric unit. As I began private practice I wanted to further specialize in teens and adults who are facing challenges in transitions such as marriage/divorce, blended families and co-parenting, social pressures, loss of loved ones, etc. It seemed to be a need to Loudoun County to have a therapist who recognizes the challenges of modern families, and who focuses on helping clients transition into healthy relationships. Many of these challenges lead to vulnerability and emotions that can become unhealthy habits or behaviors. Anxiety, for example, often shows up as anger for young men and boys, which can lead to acting out, fighting, withdrawing, or a number of other behaviors. My true specialty is finding the cause of the behavior and helping the client develop to tools to overcome.
