Established in 1982, SMPS Chicago has over 200 members who actively participate in monthly events developed to advocate, educate, and connect leaders in the building design & construction industry. The Chicago Chapter operates in cooperation with the SMPS National staff to achieve the society's mission by providing business development, networking and education opportunities throughout the year. This success is dependant on our many volunteer members and dedicated Board of Directors. About SMPS: The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) was created in 1973 by small group of professional services firm leaders who recognized the need to sharpen skills, pool resources, and work together to create business opportunities. Today, the association has a membership of more than 6,900+ marketing and business development professionals from architectural, engineering, planning, interior design, construction, and specialty consulting firms located throughout the United States and Canada. SMPS is a not-for-profit, professional organization established to promote research and education that advances the body of knowledge in the field of professional services marketing and develops a greater understanding of the role and value of marketing in the A/E/C industry.
