The School DistrictCentral Greene School District became a merged district in 1962 when the Borough of Waynesburg and the townships of Perry, Whiteley, Franklin, Wayne and Washington agreed to the jointure. The district operates one elementary school K-5, one middle school 6-8 and one senior high school 9-12.
