BCACRN is a non-profit registered society which works locally and provincially to empower communities and individuals through coordination and realtionship building to stop adult abuse and neglect - together. We share a vision of safe communities where all adults are valued, respected and free from abuse and neglect.There are Community Response Networks in over 30 communities in BC which receive support frrom the BCACRN and the Regional Mentors who live in their geographic area. Each network has its own structure with the overall purpose of ending adult abuse, neglect and self-neglect.BCACRN receives funding from provincial (gaming) and federal programs as well as foundations and other social service bodies. Local CRNs raise most of their funding from within their local communities.BCACRN plays a supportive and coordinating role and does not provide direct client services. They provide referrals to services at the local levell.
