ACM is designed for the long-term investor who seeks a conservative alternative fixed income investment that is structured to provide an absolute rate of return in the form of dividend income. Our goal is to provide our shareholders with an investment that offers portfolio diversification and will perform consistently with limited correlation to the bond and equity markets. Our investment strategy has been designed to capture the historically positive spread relationship between mortgage yields and short-term funding rates. Earnings for distribution to our shareholders come from the difference between the income earned in the portfolio and the cost of the borrowed funds. Our focus is primarily on asset/liability risk management along with controlled weightings in the credits of GNMA, FNMA and FHLMC. We employ a proprietary cash flow model as well as other sophisticated systems to model duration and asset/liability sensitivity and stress testing. Our shares are offered for purchase and redemption at NAV with a modest lock-up and declining redemption fee in order to protect the interests of each of our shareholders.
