LKB/Gistrup is one of the largest sports clubs in the Aalborg area, with its approximately 1,500 members sorted in seven different sports – soccer, gymnastics, badminton, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, and petanque. LKB/Gistrup is an organization built and operated by volunteers, with the exception of a few paid employees.The clubs outdoor facilities consists of five 11-a-side and five 7-a-side soccer pitches, 3 tennis courts, 2 beach volleyball courts and a petanque field. Furthermore, there are two additional 11-a-side soccer pitches with lights, which are mainly used in the winter season.The indoor facilities consists of two full-size sports halls, are a fully equipped with clubrooms, locker rooms, cafeteria and offices.It is the association's goal to promote the health and well-being of the individual and the collective through sports and other cultural activities.The association aims to get as many as possible to participate in its activities and through the fellowship, friendship and unity to promote the sport and ideological development.The association will try to improve the skills of the individual practitioner as well as each team's sporting performance, though still having the well-being of the fellowship in mind.LKB wants to have the best possible leaders, coaches, and organizational members, so that the association's activities can take place in an orderly fashion.
