We do this by providing themwith compliant earthing and lightning protection componentsas well as project and business management assistance.Our goal is to assist in empowering broad-based blackeconomic empowerment (B-BBEE) companies in the earthingand lightning protection industry. Our calling is to turn thisidealistic proposal into a practical reality. With the rightdesigns, products, installation expertise and managementwe enable these companies to offer turn-key protectionsolutions.The previously disadvantaged members of the populationhave found it difficult to gain entry into the earthing andlightning protection industry. The Lightning Gurus hasbeen set up to change this. The Lightning Gurus comprisesa network of Earthing and Lightning Protection Association(ELPA) accredited installation companies.South Africa is a country with a generally high annuallightning ground flash density across vast areas of our land,including many rural areas. We have an unacceptably highdeath statistic from lightning every year, and significantdamage to properties.Our vision is to offer assistance to a limited number ofindependent black-owned start-up companies and helpthem to enter this industry in a practical manner, withthe ultimate goal of job creation and education about thedangers of lightning, spread practically and effectivelythrough communities.
