The Alexandrina region is uniquely positioned in the picturesque Southern Fleurieu Peninsula at the end of the River Murray and as a gateway to the iconic Coorong. It is within an easy drive from metropolitan Adelaide – about an hour and a quarter or 85 kms south from Adelaide Airport.Alexandrina Council comprises some 182,684 hectares. It extends from the north-western side of Lake Alexandrina to the Murray Mouth, and the western end of the Coorong - taking in river communities of Langhorne Creek, Milang, Clayton Bay, Goolwa and Hindmarsh Island.
