Stone & Lime Inc., a masonry restoration contractor, has a long history of working on historic restoration projects along the East Coast spanning from Florida to Maine. Kenneth Uracius and Patricia Pelchat started Stone & Lime Imports, Inc. in 2004 to supply hard to find masonry restoration products to the construction industry. As the use of these historically correct products in the restoration market increased, Stone & Lime Imports was asked to provide labor, in addition to the materials, to work on these projects. The following is a list of projects that Stone & Lime Imports, Inc. provided both the materials and labor for. These masonry restoration projects include Fort Jefferson, Fort Adams, Fort Pickens, Fort Jackson, Monticello, Royal Orchard, Newport Country Club, Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian House at Florida Southern University, High Bridge NY, Landmark/Coignet Building NY, Louisiana State Capitol and many others.Stone & Lime Imports, Inc. also has a sister company in Freedom Cement, LLC which was started to provide historically accurate materials to restoration contractors. In 2010 Freedom Cement resumed production of natural cement from Rosendale, New York. We currently produce natural cement from the Lawrence mine in Rosendale.
