Step By Step Montessori offers the benefits of a Montessori Garden environment interlinked with the Ofsted EYFS criteria. We operate from two sites; one is a fully air conditioned purpose built building in Mill Hill with its own playground and the other one is in a bright spacious church hall in Edgware. Both are in the London Borough of Barnet. The classrooms have been equipped with a full range of Montessori materials to provide a rich learning environment for your child. We also have the use of an area of garden in the front of the church grounds.A Montessori prepared environment allows children to act freely on their own initiative meeting their needs through individual spontaneous acts. The prepared environment of Montessori schools is very important for developing a child, as there is constant activity and movement. The material in the classroom provides a wide range of practical, sensorial, language, and mathematical experiences to respond to all developmental needs of the child.In our Montessori, children benefit from a rich learning environment which promotes active learning. We are committed to educating the whole child in a way that promotes joyful learning and builds foundations for lasting success.We have been a teaching practice nursery for the Maria Montessori Institute of Hampstead, London, since April 2005 and we have recently been accredited by Montessori Education (UK). The gaining of ME(UK) accreditation is recognition of authentic Montessori practice.
