Winter Wildlands Alliance is a national nonprofit organization promoting and preserving winter wildlands and a quality human-powered snowsports experience on public lands. Through our national SnowSchool program, we provide opportunities for 32,000 kids to participate in on-snow education programs, learning about winter ecology, watersheds, snow science, and the impact of changing climates. Each season, our signature Backcountry Film Festival tours more than 100 cities and towns in North America and beyond, bringing the backcountry tribe together to celebrate winter and raising more than $180,000 annually for local grassroots groups. Our ambassador corps includes athletes, mountain guides, educators and researchers working to preserve snowy landscapes across the globe.Winter Wildlands Alliance is a founding member of Outdoor Alliance.
