I'm Kim, a private practice Recreation Therapist in the Greater Toronto Area.About Me:I'm a Recreation Therapist passionate about improving quality of life and functional ability for individuals through meaningful leisure, and finding what "lights their fire!"About Recreation Therapy:Recreation Therapists help people with potentially limiting conditions make the most of their lives - physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.How I Can Help:I provide individualized, one-to-one care plans based on client goals and needs. We may work on: mobility, memory, social effectiveness, coordination, mood regulation, community integration, etc. Therapeutic programming could include: adapted sport, swim, hiking, cognitive games, community outings, journaling, reminiscence, creative arts, and more.Who I Help:I most often help individuals with limitations to their leisure participation, including those with: dementia/Alzheimer's, stroke, brain injury, mental health challenges, chronic conditions, developmental disabilities, and more.I currently serve Toronto and surrounding area in Ontario, including the Downtown Core/Central, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville.
