The Associated General Contractors of America, the voice of the construction industry, is an organization of qualified construction contractors and industry related companies dedicated to skill, integrity and responsibility. The association provides a full range of services satisfying the needs and concerns of its members, thereby improving the quality of construction and protecting public interest.Since 1923, AGC Houston members, design firms and owners in the Houston commercial building industry have benefited from the services provided by AGC Houston. Through AGC Houston, members avail themselves to a wide-range of services that would be costly or unavailable on an individual basis. AGC Houston's services are developed by contractors and industry professionals who know first-hand what is needed to make a project successful for the owner and other members of the team. Being able to tap into the hundreds of AGC services (local, state and national) allows member firms to devote their attention to the project without having to invent their own solutions to common problems. AGC Houston, one of 100 chapters nationwide, has 1,000 members consisting of general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and service firms.
